Home is Where the Snow is.

Wow, So I am super blessed because my Christmas just gets better and better every year. I am very much a family man and hope to have a large family when I get older. My family now keeps expanding with new babies and new marriages. As I’ve always said the bigger the better!! New little ones always make me smile!

litte Charlotte is SUPER cute!

For Christmas I asked for a nice rain jacket. I needed one to use while I am in England because I know its crazy there now with snow and rain. I ended up getting two! Well three if you count the on one that is two-in-one. They will be very much used and appreciated.

We also got HIT in the face with a snow storm. I guess they wanted to give me a little taste on what I am about to get myself into. I cannot believe that it is almost here!!! I leave on the 5th and it was cold cold cold!! I need to go buy extra socks and long johns to help me stay warm. I hate being cold when I am outside. I am moving to a city covered in snow right now.....so that is wise, right??

I did get a day off!! SO excited. I really did not want to go back today so the snow was on my side. Our store decided not to even open. :)

I am starting to realize that I am seeing people for the last time for a while. It is starting to be a bit bittersweet because I will not be able to see them for the time I’m in England. Thank god for Skype and Facebook and Twitter. I’ll try to stay in touch when im not out wasted in the streets. ;)

I hope you all had a Wonderful Holiday.

I did very well on all of my exams, of course so now its just cleaning and packing to leave for England...let the main countdown begin.

Here is my final project for my editing class. Its a short Documentary on Kyle Britt. A Best friend/hair stylist who is super talented. Enjoy. :)

The Title is Everything

I am already a pro. Look at my AMAZING graphics. ;)

So knowing me, I had to have the perfect title for my blog. No questions asked. It had to be short and it had to be again, PERFECT.

At first I wanted my title to be “punny.” (this is my blog, I can make up my own words) It was supposed to only be about me going abroad. Lots of “fish and chips,” “cheers,” and other typical british words that we Americans think of. I thought about it and decided that if I wanted to continue the blog once I returned, I would need an all around generic title.

I tweeted my concerns about not being able to come up with my own title. I even set it as my Facebook status. What has my life come to? To my surprise I actually got a horrible response. Yea, If you are reading this and didn’t give me a option I am talking about you.

I got maybe one or two responses. “Live Life, Roll the Bryce” was one.....”There are plenty of fish and chips in the Sea” was another. I was even given the option, “It’s Raining Manchester,” which sadly was one of the best. I knew none of theses were the perfect title so I had to seek elsewhere.

I posted on families walls as well because they are a huge part of my life and since they are related in some shape or form they are all brilliant. Since my step-sister Amy, even though I could totally drop the step since we have gotten along so well since our parents met, already has a hugely successful blog I ran straight to her. We texted ideas back and forth until one late night I got a text that solely said “The Bryce is Right.” I immediately giggled and went back to sleep. Amy had just lit the match

that was going to start this whole fire.

I am still waiting for my invite to the royal wedding.........

The Moment you all have been waiting for........

It has finally happened! I have broken down and started a blog. I have been wanting to start a blog for a while now but I did not want to go into it blind. I imagined coming up with so many creative ideas. I have found that I know nothing about blogging and codes or whatever they call them on here. This wil

l have to be a learning process even for me.

I told myself that I would start this blog if I got accepted into UNCG’s abroad program and into the program of my choice. My first choice was MMU (Manchester Metropolitan University) and I was accepted about three weeks ago. I want to be able to blog about my journey because I know this is such a HUGE opportunity and I am fortunate to go and be able to learn so much!!! I know that this will change me for the better and I hope to find a little bit more of myself and who I am along the way.

So stay tuned as I take you step by step into my life and my ways overseas. Who knows, maybe this will become a blog not only to document my trip to England but beyond that, to document my life.

PS: Thanks to Kimber Lynn for designing my title. Thanks to Amy Davis, who’s blog I am jealous of at the moment and hope to live up to, ( http://somebodysparents.blogspot.com/ ) who helped me come up with the title. The story of the title is coming soon.
